JAL Cargo Service is working to improve safety and quality through efforts to prevent irregularities before they happen and prevent the recurrence of irregularities that have already happened.
We strive to prevent these irregularities by conducting systematic error analyses that may be caused by human factors.

Efforts to Prevent Irregularities Before They Happen

To search for potential hazards that can lead to accidents or trouble, we are working to foster a culture where employees report hiyari-hatto (close calls) on their own initiative.
We also provide hazard prediction training to increase the ability to detect hazards and request employees to conduct pointing and calling for confirmation.

Efforts to Prevent the Recurrence of Irregularities

We have implemented SHELL model analysis to analyze external factors such as human factors and work environmental factors that have led to the occurrence of an irregularity.
This allows us to strengthen our ability to analyze human error, while preventing irregularities from recurring by human factors through the revision of procedures and improvement of work environments, etc.

Fostering a Culture of Safety and Quality

We have designated Safety & Quality Key Person in each department to implement the concepts and methods of efforts to prevent irregularities before they happen and efforts to prevent the recurrence of irregularities that have already happened in our organization, creating a corporate culture where safety and quality efforts are maintained correctly.
These Safety & Quality Key Persons regularly study human factors in risk management workshops with the members of the Safety & Quality Department, apply what they have learned in these workshops to their own organizations, and convert that knowledge into wisdom, analyzing the factors that led to failures that occurred in their own organizations and developing countermeasures.
Through these activities, they play an active role as experts in safety and quality.
